Just thinking, Just Writing, Just Reading, Just Ranting..

Being a mom is getting a lot easier (for now anyways) The first like 6-10 weeks was super hard.  Your trying to heal at the same time that you aren't getting any sleep  No fun!  But now i can honestly say it's getting much more enjoyable!

I'm loving being a mom. It's like i'm doing exactly waht i was made to do- take care and nurture. :)  God knows me so stinkin well.

Besides enjoying parenting..i'm learning (well, more like being reminded) what a huge responsibility it is.  It shouldn't be taken lightly.

It says in Matthew that people who are like little children will enter the kingdom of heaven.  That means that my Owen should be looked up to in that way.   And imagine that...looking up to a 3 month old.  Weird.  But God never said it'd make sense right?  In fact, he uses foolish things to shame the wisdom of the world.

It also says that if you cause a little one to sin, it would be better for you to die. WOW! INTENSE!

He goes on to say that sin is always in the world, but woe to the person who brings it in, opens it up, shares it. 

Oh man...pity that dude. YIKES.

A good example is anger.   Anger Runs in everyones veins.  Get them really mad, insult them over and over, push the right buttons, and more times then not..watch them explode.  Now, not all anger is "wrong" I believe there is a righteous anger (after all, even JESUS himself got angry) But i'm talking about unnessecary anger.  Anger that comes from our impatient, unloving, imperfect bodies.  Yes anger is in us, but when we show it to a little one, introduce him or her to it, we cause this child to sin.  Man...and thats just a tiny example.  Imagine all the other ways we teach sin to our children..and people that look  up to us.  Yikes..what a GIANT responsibilty!! and what an awesome challenge to better ourselves.  And it's not just about parenting..it's about anyone who has a goober looking up to them. ya know?

We are sinful and imperfect so of COURSE we will sin.  But that's why Jesus is grace and forgiveness.  But MAN, how sad the ones who grow up with only their imperfect parents and NO perfect Jesus.  Anyways.  I guess it's just another reason to add on to the ever lengthy list of reasons to be Jesus to the world.  As much as you can anyway.
