Lots Of Updates.

Life has been very busy lately.  Mark & I just got back to Nashville from a nice thanksgiving trip back home.  We were there wednesday night thru Sunday morning.  It was really refreshing to see the faces of a lot of people we have been missing immensely.
Here are a few pictures of our trip:

This is Owen at Grammy & Pappy's house.

A shot of Owen's thanksgiving outfit.  The bottom of the feet say "Little Turkey":

I absolutely adore this next picture.

Heres a family picture from The Davis side:

In other news, Owen is almost 9 months old!! He has finally starting saying "ma ma"  He also has begun making "l" and "b" noises with his tounge, but no real words yet, and nope, he's still not crawling..but so stinkin close.

We love you all.  Now we are getting ready for another big trip during Christmas! :)

Good-bye Baby Fever

This week has been a busy/interesting/stressful one!

Lately; i've been having the "baby-itch."  Here are the reasons:
1. I love my son.  He is so awesome; and he makes me want to have another dude or dudette like him.
2. I miss having a baby kicking me. :) I know this sounds crazy..but if you've been preggers before, you know EXACTLY what i'm talking about.
3. I just love having a family.
4. TWO mom's that were pregnant with their 1st and the same time i was pregnant with Owen, are NOW pregnant with their SECOND babies.  This makes me feel like, "it's time, everyone's doing it!"

Well....After this week, i can OFFICALLY say that my baby-itch has come to a close for now.

This week i've been watching Ivy, a little 6 month old girl, for 2 nights overnight for a friend of mine.  She is no trouble at all.  In fact, she is so sweet and i love her, and she sometimes puts owen to shame ;)  BUT..having TWO babies, despite how well behaved they are is MORE work then i had imagined.  ESPECAILLY in the mornings...getting them fed, dressed, and packing up diaper bags and loading them both in the car only to take them to my work to watch YET ANOTHER baby, has been slightly hectic.

So, in closing, I will just say that i am GLAD that i have watched Ivy this week, because my itching has stopped!

ha!

love you all. can't wait for THANKSGIVING! :)

Two Teeth & Getting Big.

I haven't been as excited about updating my blog lately bc of our lack of pictures.  But i still want to keep family in the loop!  So hopefully, you enjoy it even though it doesn't have pictures!

Here's the latest Owen Scoop:

He got his 2nd tooth a couple days ago.  Teething is proving to be rough.  Good thing he is a trooper.  he is still saying "da-da" and "hi" but that's it.  still not crawling..but SOOO close i can feel it!!!  He sure does get around despite not crawling yet.  This morning I had to pull him out from under our futon several times. :)
He is offically 8 months olds, weighs 19 pounds, and is 30 inches long.  Yes..he is tall!

Dealing with a runny nose, cough, and slight fever this afternoon.  Not sure why but he sure seems to get sick often.  So you can find me in my kitchen, washing and santizing all things "baby."

Here's the Latest Mark & Lauren Scoop:

We are doing well.  Working alot.  Mark is going to be leading worship (playing bass) at a youth retreat this weekend, so we are looking forward to that.
Weather here has been absolutely awesome, and as much as we are soaking that up, we are feeling really homesick lately.  we can't wait to spend time with our families for a decent chunk of time.

That's all i've got!

Love,
Mark, Lauren & Owen

A Picture speaks a thousand words...BUT, we don't have any of those.

I think my blogs will probably be all Words lately and not pictures. So sorry.  We have no way of uploading pictures currently (long story.)

BUT, here are some of our current happenings:

1.) We bought a new car.  It's a 1992 Honda Accord.  It's old, but it's in great condition, looks nice, runs nice and has a lot of life left to it.  Best news of all, you can open it from the inside...you don't have to roll the windows down to open it from the outside. :)

2.) Owen Turns EIGHT months old in 4 days.  Wow. this leaves me speechless. The kid is growing non-stop.

3.) We are frantically preparing for our upcoming numerous trips.  If you think about it--pray for our safety.  We have a trip next weekend, thanksgiving weekend, and of course, christmas too.

that's all I can really think of.
Enjoy your weekend!

love.
