*Loves her brother but is starting to stick up for herself more by yelling and screaming at him :)

It's been a tough week.
I've been contemplating writing a post or not. I've decided I will.
Mark and I have had very heavy hearts this week, as Sunday, we learned of the death of a childhood friend. Evan Sobecki, whom we both grew up around, passed away in a car accident. I don't write this post to talk about how we are feeling about it, because I cannot fathom how his parents, brothers and sisters, and girlfriend are feeling, and our hearts are broken for them. Rather, I write about it because to me, this is a huge reminder to me, a huge lesson. Life is way too short for so many things. It's too short to be mean to people, to talk poorly of people, it's too short to have enemies, hold grudges, or to not talk about your problems and make right ALL your relationships! It's too short to get mad and stay mad at people. It's way too short to not love. Way too short not to just be yourself, and be honest and open with those around you.
I've been feeling this "conviction" I guess you could say, for a long time, and Evan's death really just cements it into my heart.
Love one another, FORGIVE one another, and be gracious to one another.
Prayers and love to the Sobecki family, especially today and tomorrow as visitation and funeral are happening.

I know what's coming...
I've been breaking lots of "rules" with Cora. When she came home she slept in her swing for months...there and on our chests, or with us in bed. We swaddled her until she was 7 months old, and didn't really try to break her of it because she loved it. We don't let her cry it out, and I, for one, love and adore rocking her to sleep.
Now, with Owen, as a baby, I read. I read a lot of books from people who were so called "baby experts" and they totally might be. Owen was sleeping through the night at about 8 weeks, while Cora, started at about 8 months, so obviously these people that wrote these books knew a little something of what they were talking about. This time, I've put the books down and just snuggled because I know what's next. With Cora being the last baby we plan on having, it's a lot harder. Growing up is the pits... it's hard watching your kids grow more and more independent. Good, but hard.
My point, is that I just don't care about the rules this time.
In two months, my daughter will be one, and i KNOW what's coming next. I know alllll about the hitting, saying no, kicking, temper throwing, biting, you name it stage. So, i want to hold onto her...while I can...and TIGHT.

Owen wants to tell you a little bit about his first bike...
:-)
He's got a lot to say.
Thank you to the McCory's for blessing us with this bike that their grandkids no longer use!

Behind...
Life with 2 babies doesn't leave as much time for blogging folks!
Lets start with memorial day! Mark had to work (love you, retail!) So i took the kids to the parade in Edwardsburg and it tuckered them out!!
We then went over to some friends house and swam! Well, Owen did. I tricked convinced his pappy to take him so i didn't have to get in the freeezing water.
Cora is eating more and more "real food." This girl is an eater people- watch out. I can't recall Owen eating so much at this age!! It's crazy! I feel like we are playing a game called "How much can a tiny little 9 month old make your grocery bill increase?"
And, guess who got her 1st tooth?! Finally! It poked through June 1st! So, she's been LOVING cold things...including boiled eggs...oh boy..
Then, my 1st Niece turned ONE!! Well, she turns one this friday, but her party was this past weekend! I can hardly believe it!! I feel like it was just the other day i was in the hospital with her mama welcoming her into the world (such an awesome experience!)
