All Kinds Of New Adventures, 20 weeks. Puppies. BIG update.

So, Owen is 20 weeks old this week. 20 weeks equals 5 months, but he was born on the 10th of March, so i wouldn't call him 5 months till August 10th. confusing! We've had a lot of baby news going on around here just in the past few days.

Here are some 20 wk photos

1st bit of news: A tooth?!?! So, i've been suspecting Owen of "teething" for a while now. The intense drool and chewing and crying have clued me in. He's been chewing things in the back and putting every thing back there, which made me think he was teething in the back. Every mom that i talked to would say something along the lines of "but the front teeth pop first.." WELL, today I saw a tiny, tiny white sharp object in the back where Owen has been "chewing" poping out of his gums!!!!! I guess i'm not 100% sure..but maybe!

2nd bit of news: So Owen has been on a really good feeding schedule for a while now. He would eat every 3-4 hours on the dot, and about 4.5-5 ounces. Well lately he's been wanting to eat every 1.5-2 hours!! I figured maybe we should bump up the ounces..so we did..and STILL he is acting hungry way too often. So, we are starting to give Owen "meals" Rice cereal for breakfast, and some other baby foods at lunch and dinner. Yesterday we had rice cereal for breakfast and then some apples for lunch, and some squash and apples for dinner! He is acting much more content, and is back to every 3-4 hours. Growing Fast!! He hasn't grown any since i last updated you. He is still 15lbs and 26 inches long.

3rd bit of news: He is rolling over ALL the time. You've got to watch him like a hawk! Usually, he goes down to sleep without a peep..but lately, I've been putting him down and hearing muffled cries like 2 minutes later..only to find him rolled over, face down in his crib. Silly dood...again...like a hawk!

4th bit of news: We are trying to start sitter-swaping or at LEAST having someone babysit more often. Mark & I have realized that not having some "alone time" has really starting wearing on us and our relationship...and when you go out on dates and have to leave before dinner is even served because your baby is crying...it doesn't really count as a date... SO, we decided we would start the search for a sitter. Well, I put out something on my church email, and had a few moms email that they would be willing to sitter swap! This way, mark and I can go out twice a month and have someone trustworthy watch owen for free! In return, we'll babysit their kids so they can go out. I'm not sure if it'll actually go through or not, luckily, we have good and understanding friends who i know would be willing to help us. Whew, for this i am THANKFUL!

He is so lively these days, and i just LOVE this age. He is really fun to hang out with, ,and doesn't just lay around all the time anymore. Every day we talk a walk and read some books...it is so cute..when we sit down and I grab a book, he spots it and starts frantically kicking and talking..he gets so excited!!!! And he is ALWAYS happy when we take him for walks. He is just so curious!!! Man, I don't want this baby to grow up.

believe it or not..we do actually have news that isn't baby news..ha! Here is some Mark & Lauren/Nashville news:

Most of you know that we've recently moved...well..i would post pictures..BUT, my house is still not in order... :( But I will post some pictures of the ever so fun moving process..(notice how happy i look..)

So, the first day we moved..Owen slept in this. ha. ha. (don't judge) :)

Mike and Ashley got a brand new puppy!!! He is about 9 weeks old and his name is Walter! :) He is a mix of a golden retreiver and a poodle..called a goldendoodle. This is Owen's first cousin since Luke hasn't been born yet! :) I hope he and Owen will be good buds!!

Our Friends Trevor & Ali just had a baby!! It's a little girl, and her name is Gemma! :) We are very, very, VERY excited to have another couple with a new baby!! It's so great to have close friends to realte with, with babies OR with puppies! :)
