He's Here! :)

Well, it was so hard, it wasn't fun..but it was SOOOOO worth it.

I'll write the long labor story later, but for now i'll just post some pictures, because i have to go take care of my sweet new son! :)

Baby Update: 40 weeks and 5 days.

Hey All.

I know its gonna happen soon, and here's why.  (i'll spare you gross details)

1.)This morning some girly stuff happened that is supposed to happen before you go into labor.

2.) We went to the doctor and I'm almost 4 cm dilated

3.) I'm having painful contractions about 30 seconds long, every 5 minutes

Please Keep Us in your prayers.  We are basically just waiting for my water to break or for the contractions to last a whole minute.  The contractions are really hurting, and i don't want to have to wait and wait too much longer.  Praise God it seems to be coming naturally though.

If it doesn't come naturally, we have an appointment, Friday at 5:00 am for me to be induced.  I'm sure it'll happen before then tho....right??

Oh Where oh where could our little son be??

Whelp, still no baby!  4 days over and counting!!  He's a boog. :)

We are trying to be patient and take advantage of this time.

Yesterday we bought a little baby carrier, and Mark is very excited! ;)  (see below.)

I think i'm gonna pop.

I am huge.

I think i'm gonna pop if this baby doesn't come soon!

Here's the Scoop

Hey All.

As you know, YESTERDAY was Owen's due date, and he decided not to make an apperance...SO, we had an appointment today, and kind of a long story short- we ended up having an ultra sound to make sure he's ready to come out and he IS, he's just being shy.  SO, we are going back in on Monday if we haven't had him by this weekend to reasses and the doc will set a date for induction sometime that next week, possibly even that day.

She wants us to wait a few days, hoping that it will happen naturally, but Owen seems pretty happy to stay in my belly.  BUT the doctor doesn't want to wait too long because she doesn't want owen to keep growing and growing making labor hard on me.  So..i guess we will see.

Thanks for all your prayers.  We need and want them.

March 4, 2009. Where is Owen Burkey??

Daddy&Mommy to BE!

Whelp, today is the due date!! 

But...no baby yet.  I've come to the conclusion that it is a-okay.  This afternoon i told God that he is a better parent then i am and that he knows what day this little goober is supposed to come.  His plan is much better then mine (even though sometimes i don't act like it.)  SO i'm going to wait patiently.  I know things will go according to his plan.  Meanwhile, i'm so excited!! This baby is on his way..and soon! :)
